Gin and Elderflower Cooler

What is a Gin and Elderflower cooler

I created this cocktail to see what all the fuss is about Gin. I've tried Gin a few times but never really got on with the flavours.

This cocktail uses Elderflower liqour along with fresh fruits which offset the bitterness of the Gin and creates a beautifully refreshing drink even the hardened Gin hater will enjoy! I've been converted!

Taking the fresh sliced Cucumber & Strawberries and mixing it with Gin, Elderflower liqour & fresh limes this cocktail offers a sweet initial taste, cut gently with the citrus of the lime juice Very Moreish!


If you want the fizz but don’t like tonic water soda water works just fine too.

50ml Gin

25ml Elderflower Liquour

1/2 Fresh Lime

A handful of fresh Strawberries stalks removed

Slices of Fresh Cucumber

75ml Fresh Apple juice

Spirit Measure / Jigger

Directions

1. Add ice to the glass (about 1/2 full) 
   
2. Cut a lime into quarters and squeeze into the gin glass
   
3. Add the Gin, Apple Juice, Elderflower Liquor
   
4. Add the cucumber and Strawberry slices
   
5. Top up glass with Soda water for a fizz or leave as is I prefer it withiut.
   
6. Add the sliced strawberry for decoration.
