Why do we need protein?

Protein is used in the body for muscle repair and protein is an important component of every cell in the body. Hair  and nails are mostly made of protein, do you get broken hair or nails? probably a lack of protein in your diet, hey even Shampoo manufacturers are adding it to they products now!

Your body  also uses protein to make enzymes, hormones, and other body chemicals. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage,Skin and in your blood.

However when we work out lifting weights or using our legs to cycle we cause tears in the muscle and the normal protein we intake isnt always enough to help repair this, hence the aches for days afterwards!

This is where protein supplements come into it, taking a shake after a work out or eating a protein bar during work outs can help the body maintain the level of protein it needs to function and repair quickly.

Ive developed a few recipes on here that can compliment your diet using protein suppliments & I've teamed up with a few companies who offer various deals, I will keep the site updated with the best offers, found on my offers page linked below
